Dying here. Anna Kendrick quickly is becoming one of my favourite People and in addition to turning heads at the GRAMMY Awards last weekend as a Presenter, now here she is killing us dead with this Mockumentary-esque non-Super Bowl TV Spot for Newcastle Beer. We learn that the Ad was to be made, but they simply didn’t have the money to execute it.
To be honest, I’d never even heard of Newcastle Beer before today… but now I will never forget!
“Am I Beer Commercial-Hot?”, she ponders. “No. But I love a challenge”.
Watch Kendrick‘s Newcastle TV Spot:
Not only is she basically in every single Movie imaginable, Elizabeth Banks is ready to try her hand at directing! Many don’t realize that Banks originated the idea behind Box Office Hit Pitch Perfect, taking-on the Producer role in addition to starring in the Film. This time around in the eagerly-awaited Sequel to the Musical-Comedy, she will be directing too as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter! I basically love her to death and the fact that she’s a Horse Racing Ambassador basically makes her the perfect Woman!
Made for only $15 million, the original 2012 Film went-on to make $115 million worldwide.
Original Stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are said to be in talks to reprise their roles.

Is it safe to assume we’ll all be seeing this Christmas 2014? Production for Disney‘s upcoming Live-Action Adaptation of the Musical Into the Woods is well under way in London and just released is this first Still featuring MERYL STREEP!
Into the Woods merges Characters from our favourite Brothers Grimm Stories and together they are taught a lesson by a Witch (Meryl Streep), with an original Story centering on a Baker and his Wife whom are cast under her Spell. The Witch hopes to reverse a Curse so that her beauty can be restored. Characters include Rapunzel, Cinderella, Jack (of Beanstalk fame) and Little Red Riding Hood.
Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Lucy Punch, Tracey Ullman and Christine Baranski also star. Yes, it will be that good.
Academy Award-winning Director Rob Marshall (my favourite!) who has time after time stuns our senses with Films like Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha and NINE, helms the Musical.

If you aren’t a fan of Anna Kendrick, I swear this will win you over. The Oscar-nominated Actress stole our hearts with her amazing vocal talent in last year’s Pitch Perfect and here she is in a Funny or Die Sketch which has her joining Korean Pop Group F(x), a Quintet who have topped both the U.S. and Canada iTunes Electronic Album Charts.
The Sketch sees Kendrick sent off to Seoul by her Manager, to go through Girl Group Boot Camp of Song and Dance. Before you know it’s she’s mastering Korean and an Asian Pop Sensation with a legacy to share with her Grandchildren. “I look like I’m in Cloud Atlas“. Hilar.

At last one of my fave Films of 2012 sees a release and I’m thrilled that together with VVS Films and Touchwood PR, we’re giving Readers a chance to own it. Premiering this past September at TIFF, End of Watch went on soon after to top the Box Office in North America and Critics responded overwhelmingly. The Film from David Ayer – Writer of Training Day – stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young Los Angeles Police Officers who discover a secret that makes them the target of the Country’s most dangerous Drug Cartel. The riveting Action-Thriller also stars Anna Kendrick, Cody Horn and America Ferrera.

After a few weak weekends in a row, Moviegoers finally showed their Box Office support this weekend with a big debut for Sony Pictures’ Hotel Transylvania. The Animated Feature starring Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez and Kevin James debuts with $43 million from 3,349 theatres across North America. The Film debuted at TIFF just a few weeks back. See my Snaps with the Cast here!
Sony Pictures/Alliance Films earned big numbers from Action-Thriller, Looper, starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the Film also receiving a Premiere here at TIFF a couple weeks back as the Opening Night Gala. It earns $21.2 million from 2,992 theatres, making it a Sony Pictures Top Two in the U.S., opening with resoundingly strong reviews at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Last week’s number one Film End of Watch continues to perform well in third with $8 million, tallying at a two-week total of $25.9 million, exceeding all expectations for Open Road and VVS Films with a $7 million budget. Trouble with the Curve and Thriller The House at the End of the Street follow closely behind in fourth and fifth with $7.5 million and $7.1 million respectively.
Musical-Comedy Pitch Perfect, debuts in sixth impressively with $5.2 million from only 335 theatres for Universal Pictures. The Film is Anna Kendrick‘s second film in the Top Ten along with End of Watch this weekend, and it likely will expand to bigger numbers in coming weeks.
Best Picture Candidate The Master showing in 856 theatres only, continues to perform fairly well with $2.71 million in ninth spot for The Weinstein Co./eOne Films, while Won’t Back Down starring Maggie Gyllenhaal (two Gyllenhaals in the Top Ten) and Viola Davis, rounds out the Top Ten for 20th Century Fox with $2.7 million from 2,515 theatres.
