AFAM Wives Club recently made its premiere on The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) streaming platform iWant, with new episodes streaming every week.
You can watch the trailer:
AFAM Wives Club is a sassy, campy, and emotionally rich reality series that follows the lives of four Filipina women in relationships with foreign men or AFAMs. The show explores how cultural differences, societal expectations, and personal growth all play a part in their love stories. Each episode is anchored on a central theme (e.g., cultural clashes, beauty standards, sex, or family dynamics), intercutting with real conversations and raw, no-holds-barred confessionals.
The series is the realest portrait of Filipinas in love with foreigners, a sisterhood bound by the need to be loved, seen, and chosen, all wrapped in chaos.
Representing the different faces of the modern Filipina: Mari Fowler shares her journey to motherhood, whileKeylyn Trajano, a reigning Miss Universal Woman and proud transgender Filipina, breaks barriers in her field. Julia Chu, a lawyer and entrepreneur, offers insight into balancing career and personal growth, and Nathalie Hart opens up about single motherhood and starting over after divorce. Together, their stories present an honest look at womanhood, family, and self-discovery.
Unlike traditional reality shows, ‘AFAM Wives Club’ focuses on sisterhood over competition. Each episode delves into a chaotic yet deeply relatable feminine truth that captures the messiness of growth, cultural connection, belongingness– showing that love, in all its forms, remains a universal story.
