#REVIEW: “TERMINATOR: DARK FATE”
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
Terminator 2: Judgement Day is one of the best and most influential films ever made. Period. And since it came out in 1991, we have had three sequels (and a TV series) that all tried to continue that story of man versus machine. They had their own enjoyable elements, but all paled in comparison – mostly because they were made without the involvement of Director James Cameron nor then breakout star Linda Hamilton.
Enter Terminator: Dark Fate, the new ...

#REVIEW: “MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN”
Review by George Kozera for Mr. Will Wong
“Passion project”. These two words can strike fear in a moviegoer’s gut when they realize a film they are about to see is being labelled as such. In 1999, Oscar-nominated Edward Norton saw the cinematic potential in Jonathan Lethem’s Novel, Motherless Brooklyn, but envisioned its contemporary setting and characters as a period piece set in New York City in the 1950s and make significant plot changes. It is easy to see why Norton was attracted ...

Without diminishing the talented Nick Robinson and Haley Lu Richardson, is there a more talented 23 year-old actor than Timothée Chalamet? #REVIEW: “MATTHIAS & MAXIME”
Review by George Kozera for Mr. Will Wong
I make no secrets of my admiration and borderline obsession with the works of Quebec’s auteur, Xavier Dolan. As an actor, he is charismatic and hypnotic even in movies he did not direct (check out his stellar work in “Boy Erased”). As a Writer/Director, Dolan’s movies are unique, visually spellbinding and impossible to forget. There may have been one or two missteps in his career, but which Director can say, with any honesty, that they may have ...

#REVIEW: “JOKER”
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
When I first heard about Co-Writer/Director Todd Phillips developing a Joker origin film for adults, I scoffed and wrote it off as a horrendous idea. Did we really need a film chronicling the rise of Batman’s greatest villain? Had Heath Ledger not already given us the definitive cinematic portrayal of the character? How could Joaquin Phoenix even fathom the idea that he could live up to that legendary, Oscar-winning performance? Fast-forward to ...
