Angourie Rice is definitely a name to keep a tab-on after leaving a big impression in MARE OF EASTTOWN and if you ever saw the sweet EVERY DAY, you’re probably already a fan. Rice stars next in Apple TV+’s THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME, alongside Jennifer Garner. The Series, based on Laura Dave‘s Novel, is produced by Reese Witherspoon‘s Hello Sunshine.

• Created and adapted by Laura Dave, alongside series co-creator and Academy Award-winner Josh Singer (“Spotlight”), “The Last Thing He Told Me” follows Hannah (played by Garner), a woman who forms an unexpected relationship with her sixteen-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared. The series marks the second collaboration between the married Dave and Singer.
• Rice will play the role of ‘Bailey,’ Hannah’s stepdaughter.
• “The Last Thing He Told Me” will be executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, as well as Laura Dave and Josh Singer.
• The novel “The Last Thing He Told Me” was published in hardcover by Simon & Schuster on May 4, 2021. It quickly became the #1 New York Times best-selling novel and spent 44 weeks on The New York Times Bestseller list.
• The new project marks the latest high-profile collaboration between Apple and Hello Sunshine, and will join previously announced projects produced by Hello Sunshine for Apple TV+ including upcoming psychological thriller “Surface,” starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw; “My Kind of Country,” a groundbreaking global search for unconventional and extraordinary country music talent and the first competition series for the platform; Emmy, SAG and Critics Choice Award-winning and multi-Golden Globe nominated series “The Morning Show”; and the NAACP Image Award-winning series “Truth Be Told,” starring Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson.

We loved 2011’s THE LINCOLN LAWYER starring Matthew McConaughey and now comes a Series based also on the 2005 Novels of the same name. Ten episodes are coming soon to Netflix.

SEVERANCE will be back for a second season, as confirmed today by Apple TV+! The first season of the hit Series directed and produced by Ben Stiller concludes this Friday.

Synopsis:

In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. Jason Momoa is tapped for upcoming Series CHIEF OF WAR, coming to Apple TV+. He will star-in, write and serve as Executive Producer on this eight-episode Limited Series.

The VAUGHAN FILM FESTIVAL will be back June 20-23, 2022! The Festival now is in its tenth edition!

The panel of judges for this year’s VFF Awards includes composed of Andrew Jackson, Andrea Trentadue, Christopher Lane, Frank Morrone, Ellen Dubin, Tom McCarthy, Maria Ricossa, and Mark Lanza. Ozzie Sutherland Samah Safi Bayazid and Kim Roberts also were just announced today.

The Festival is comprised of two days of film screenings on the Monday and Wednesday, student films screening on the Tuesday, and concluding with the VFF Awards on the Thursday. SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME arrives in-stores April 12, 2022.

Calgary’s own Tate McRae finally has made her way back to her native Canada after finding much success over the past few years. The 18-year-old Singer/Songwriter and Dancer got her big break on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE as the first-ever Canadian Finalist. But who would’ve known, her success ultimately would come in Music?

McRae currently is on-tour and finally has Canadian dates after the Pandemic presented multiple delays. She sold-out Danforth Music Hall entirely, and tickets were being offered by re-sellers at astronomical prices.

While she’s prepping the release of her first LP I USED TO THINK I COULD FLY, out via Sony Music Canada on May 27, 2022, she has plenty of material already to tour with, playing a 15-song setlist including hits “feel like shit”, “that way”, “she’s all i wanna be” and “you broke me first”. So happy finally to meet McRae, who played a superb show. She is equally adept a Dancer as she is a Vocalist. The ecstatic audience reaction completely is warranted. Have respected her hustle and talent. And above all that, she’s so sweet! We chat quickly about our love for HBO‘s “Euphoria” and between hugs she tells me she’s totally Team Maddie (character played by Alexa Demie). Photo coming soon!

McRae was supported by English Singer-Songwriter Mimi Webb who put on a powerful display, singing among others her track “Good Without” which just got certified Gold in Canada, plus her latest single “House on Fire“. She brought the house down with a cover of Adele‘s “Someone Like You“.

Presented by Murray and Peter, WAR ON THE CATWALK took place tonight at Toronto’s Meridian Hall. While the Pandemic limited opportunities to see the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the re-opening of Ontario has allowed fans finally a chance to see them in-person.

Hosted by Miz Cracker from Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the Show brought-out Canada’s Drag Race Season One and Two champions Priyanka, and Icesis respectively, RuPaul All Stars Season Six winner Kylie Sonique Love, plus fan faves Jimbo, Crystal Methyd, Heidi N Closet, Olivia Lux and Kandy Muse.

We love RuPaul’s Drag Race so much and the Pandemic really gave us a chance to get obsessed!
