Today, multifaceted hip-hop artist/producer Roderick Porter shares brand new sun soaked single âNot Again.â The left of center production, quirky vocals and infectious chorus sets the tone for a perfect summer soundtrack.
On âNot Again,â he elastically croons about being so lost in thought over his many regrets that he lets his cigarette burn all the way down, stinging his finger. Itâs partly about âwatching a relationship fall apart, but also not recognizing that youâre watching it fall apart,â he says.
The single follows Porterâs most recent singles,âOver Againâ and âGone in the Windâ and âBittersweet.â Since then he has moved to LA full-time and spent the year honing his craft and evolving as an artist to make some of his best music to date. âNot Againâ marks the beginning of the next chapter for Porter and puts him as an exciting artist to watch.
As an artist, Porter is a byproduct of a post-soundcloud rap DIY scene and in good company alongside artists like Brock Hampton, SMINO, Isaiah Rashad and more that are elevating the genre. Expect more to come from Porter in the coming months
Responding to overwhelming fan demand for more music, one of the hottest breakout stars of 2024 and pop-country sensation Dasha (pronounced DASH-uh) delivers her irresistible new song âDidnât Iâ out today via Warner Records.
ââDidnât Iâ is so nostalgic, thereâs something about my past that intrigues me, including the men. In the writerâs room, I was referring to a time months and months ago when I was backsliding into the guy that âAustinâ is about. Itâs admitting like, âoops here I am again, my badâ but I love how we made it lighthearted and fun,â says Dasha.
Todayâs track places Dashaâs dynamic vocals, clever songwriting, and undeniable star power directly in the spotlight. Handclaps drive the momentum as fiddle accents the bright banjo riff. On the track, Dasha just canât seem to let go of an old fling as she confesses on the chorus, âSo why am I here with your lips on mine? I couldâve sworn I said, âThis is over. Didnât I?ââ With its cheeky storytelling and infectious melody, âDidnât Iâ has all the makings of another smash from the rapidly rising phenomenon.
Simultaneously, her hit single âAustin (Boots Stop Workinâ)â peaked at 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and staked out a spot in the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at 19. Meanwhile, Dasha scaled the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart to #2 with her album What Happens Now? peaking at 117 on the Billboard 200.
In other big news, her extensive global headline tour Dashville, U.S.A has sold out in a majority of markets with limited ticket availability remaining in Stockholm, Amsterdam and Salt Lake City. She will perform to capacity crowds everywhere from London and Los Angeles to New York and Toronto. Check out the full routing below.
This year, Dasha notably made her debut at the iconic Grand Ole OpryÂŽ in Nashville, TN. Of course, she highlighted the set with the smash single âAustinâ as well as favorites from What Happens Now? The milestone performance marked a significant moment in Dashaâs burgeoning career as she joins the ranks of artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Lady A, Blake Shelton, and many more who have graced the stage of Grand Ole OpryÂŽ.
Stay tuned for a whole lot more from Dasha.
