Canada Day calls for poutine and this year, Día Restaurant & Lounge is giving Canada’s favourite comfort food a passport.
Hidden on the second floor of Canopy Toronto Yorkville, Día is launching a limited-time poutine menu available July 1-31, 2026 featuring eight globally inspired poutines that take the classic well beyond traditional gravy and cheese curds.
Guests can also build their own poutine flight, choosing any three flavours to create the ultimate tasting experience, perfect for anyone who can’t pick just one (or can’t eat eight poutines).
Created by Executive Chef Justin Raponi, known taking classic dishes and reimagining them through creativity and global influences, the menu celebrates Canada’s multicultural food scene with bold takes on the Canadian classic, including:
The “Oh Canada” – braised beef gravy, maple bacon, cheese curds, crispy shallots
East Coast Donair – donair beef, tomato, onion, sweet garlic sauce
Butter Chicken – butter chicken sauce, cilantro, pickled onion, mint yogurt
Montreal Smoked Meat – peppercorn gravy, mustard aioli, pickle slaw
The “Hat Trick” – smoked bacon, pulled beef, sausage and gravy
Korean BBQ – bulgogi beef, gochujang gravy, kimchi and sesame
Nashville Hot Chicken – crispy hot chicken, spicy gravy, ranch and pickles
Mexi-Can – chorizo, jalapeño, queso sauce, pico de gallo and Tajín crema

Chef Justin brings more than two decades of culinary experience spanning Toronto, British Columbia and Bermuda. After beginning his career alongside Chef David Lee at Splendido Wine Bar and later working at Ristorante 101, Justin went on to lead kitchens across Canada and internationally before joining The Gupta Group, where he now oversees the culinary programs at Día Restaurant & Lounge and Deauville Club. His menus are rooted in globally inspired cuisine that feels creative, refined and approachable.
