Things I love to see.My website mrwillwong.com crashed repeatedly during tiff50 with a huge surge in traffic. Literally by day 8 of the Festival we already surpassed what we get normally in our busy Septembers.I called today to upgrade so that this doesn't happen again and the gentleman on the phone asked, "Did you go viral or something? Congrats!".Extremely proud of the team. In a changing media landscape where being "media" means you are now fighting to be seen in amidst a crowded sea of influencers, I have had to learn to be competent at both. This is neither good nor bad, but it is the reality of the landscape now. I never foresaw myself doing reels about food or diarizing my life in videos but it is now by day-to-day.Working three times as hard as I did a few years ago, but it is rewarding to see it quantified.Thanks for all your love and support! #BOXOFFICE: “WEAPONS” FIRES IN DEBUT

WEAPONS fires in its debut this weekend, taking $35 million from 3,202 theatres for Warner Bros. This Horror gets a stellar 96% on the Tomatometer. This is from the same Director, Zach Cregger, who brought us BARBARIAN.

FREAKIER FRIDAY is a smash, taking $30 million from 3,975 theatres for Disney. It gets a respectable 73% on the Tomatometer. Its predecessor also was a success, with a $22 million debut back in 2003.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR: THE FIRST STEPS gets third this weekend with $16 million, taking it to $231 million for Disney over three weekends.

THE BAD GUYS 2 gets $10.5 million in its second weekend, bringing it to $43.5 million for Universal Pictures.

THE NAKED GUN rounds-out a weapon-bookended Top Five with $7.5 million, a two-week run of $32.7 million for Paramount Pictures.
