#REVIEW: “YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING”

We’ve never seen anything quite like YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. This riveting meta-Documentary is co-directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, using Deadpan Comedy, fly-on-the-wall observation and hard-hitting journalism, as the Filmmakers get unprecedented access to disgraced Theranos businesswoman Elizabeth Holmes.

The Film follows Holmes in the days leading up to her serving her prison sentence for committing Federal Wire Fraud and Conspiracy. We also meet her current partner, businessman Billy Evans and things seems relatively uneventful until Holmes finally goes to prison and the focal point of the Film shifts to a growingly-tense dynamic between the Filmmakers and Evans. We begin to ask questions whether Holmes is being manipulated, or whether she and her partner are doing the manipulating.

Without divulging too much, things take flight with the participation of acclaimed Actress Amanda Seyfried who won a Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy and Critics’ Choice Award for portraying Holmes in Hulu‘s The Dropout. She looks to fill the voids to questions we all have, without the active presence of the Film’s subject.

Yes, YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING is three hours long, but never feels it for a moment as we’re thrown some sharp curveballs. It is little wonder why audiences are responding and the public continue to be so invested in this story, thanks to the Film bringing the conversation about truth, deception and manipulation right back to the forefront.
