Radici Project is participating in Sake Discovery Restaurant Week from October 28 to November 1, 2026, an initiative designed to introduce Japanese sake to new audiences by showcasing its versatility beyond traditional Japanese cuisine. Following a successful nomination by The Living Vine, the contemporary Italian-Japanese restaurant, located in Toronto’s Little Italy, will offer two limited-time experiences featuring selections from the agency’s portfolio: a $27 pre-dessert flight and a $50 sake-only pairing to accompany Chef Emiliano Del Frate’s signature Essence Menu.
The pre-dessert flight features three selections: Asahi Ichinojo Shochu, Tamagawa Ice Breaker ’24 and Akishika Moto Shibori. Served ahead of the dessert course, the flight introduces guests to a variety of Japanese beverage styles, each with its own distinct character and flavour profile.
For a more extensive tasting, guests can enjoy a sake-only pairing with Radici Project’s signature Essence Menu, featuring selections from Kinoshita Brewery in Kyoto and Akishika Brewery in Osaka. The pairing includes Akishika Okarakuchi or Akishika Yama NV, followed by Tamagawa Yamahai ’21 and a selection of either Kinkame 80 or Tamagawa Honjozo ’22. Each has been chosen to complement Chef Emiliano’s dishes while introducing guests to Japanese sakes that are not widely available in Canada.
The pairing will also feature muroka nama genshu sakes, which are unfiltered, unpasteurized and undiluted, including select jukusei namazake aged between three and five years. These expressions highlight the influence of traditional brewing and ageing techniques, offering guests a deeper understanding of the complexity and range of flavours found in Japanese sake.
Sake Discovery Restaurant Week is part of Sake Discovery Canada 2026, an initiative sponsored by Japan’s National Tax Agency in collaboration with the Sake Institute of Ontario (@kampaitoronto). Designed to introduce Japanese sake to new audiences beyond traditional Japanese dining, the campaign brings together participating Toronto restaurants to showcase its versatility across different cuisines. The Living Vine is supporting Radici Project’s participation by coordinating sake selections and product support from its portfolio.
Radici Project’s Sake Discovery Restaurant Week offerings will be available from October 28 to November 1, 2026, with the pre-dessert flight priced at $27 and the sake-only Essence Menu pairing at $50, in addition to the cost of the menu. Reservations can be made HERE.
