Mott 32 has been named the No. 1 Chinese restaurant in Canada at the 17th annual Chinese Restaurant Awards, held on September 23 at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver. Recognized for its Toronto and Vancouver locations, Mott 32 took the top spot on the awards’ Elite 30 Canada list, which celebrates the country’s most outstanding Chinese restaurants.
Founded in 2008, the Chinese Restaurant Awards have grown from a local guide into a national snapshot of Chinese cuisine. Topping this year’s list places Mott 32 at the forefront of Chinese fine dining in Canada. Located in the Shangri-La Hotel at 190 University Avenue in Toronto, the restaurant is known for its signature 42-day apple wood roasted Peking duck and apple wood smoked Pluma Ibérico pork.
