After a seven-year hiatus, one of Toronto’s most anticipated art parties is returning to the waterfront. On September 17, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery will present Power Ball: The 7-Year Itch transforming its galleries and outdoor spaces for one night with three major commissions by Toronto-based artists Rah Eleh, Ella Gonzales and Sami Tsang.
Inspired by renewal, reinvention and new beginnings, the artists will create immersive environments spanning projection mapping, large-scale installation, painting and ceramics. The evening will also feature live performances and music inside the gallery and along the waterfront, with a lineup including EGYPTRIXX, Tony Price, Karim Olen Ash & Phillippe, TEENO, Vjollça, Invisible City & Milch, and pop-up performances by Colin Fisher & Kieran Adams.
The event marks a new chapter for both Power Ball and The Power Plant following the gallery’s recent independence. Its Re(new)ed dress code extends the theme by encouraging guests to rediscover, restyle and reinvent pieces they already own.
