Taco Fest Toronto returns for its ninth year, and after eight sold-out summers, the fiesta is expanding. For the first time ever, Taco Fest will kick off the season in Mississauga at Port Credit Memorial Park from June 27 to 28, 2026 marking the city’s debut on the growing multi-city lineup.
Each summer, Taco Fest transforms its host cities into high-energy celebrations of flavour and culture. Top chefs and local restaurants serve up inventive, chef-driven tacos alongside handcrafted cocktails, while mariachi bands, salsa dancers and live performers keep the atmosphere electric from day to night.
In addition to its first-ever Mississauga event, Taco Fest returns to its flagship Fort York location in Toronto from August 7–9, before wrapping the summer at Clock Tower Pier in Montreal from September 5–7.
At each city’s event, Taco Fest crowns a Best Taco Award winner — as voted by attendees — recognizing the chef who delivers the most unforgettable taco of the weekend. The coveted Best Taco trophy celebrates creativity, authenticity and bold flavour, and fuels friendly competition among the region’s top culinary talent.
“After eight sold-out years in Toronto, expanding felt like the natural next step,” said Brad Wishen, Co-Founder of Taco Fest. “Mississauga has an incredible culinary community, and we’re excited to create a space where local chefs can compete, collaborate and celebrate Mexican cuisine in a big way.”
Pre-sale sign-ups open today, February 24, ensuring taco lovers are the first to know when tickets go on sale. With each city set to reveal its vendor lineup, exclusive off-menu creations, limited-edition collaborations, and one-of-a-kind activations, pre-sale sign-up is the best way to secure tickets before they sell out.

After a three year absence, TACO FEST TORONTO returns June 17 – 19, 2022, on The West Island at Ontario Place! Expect 150 variations of Tacos at the Festival and more than 30 Vendors!
So delighted we got to attend a Media Preview for the event hosted St. Clair West’s ATOMIC 10. The festive affair where we got to sample Tacos and Cocktails from their edited Menu, packed with hits certainly was atmospheric as we were serenaded by a Mariachi Band! The compact space with an outdoor patio is lit in neon and a bright energy.
ATOMIC 10 will be vying for top honours at the Fest and is sure to win over some new fans. We’re obsessed with their Spicy Margarita, a spin on their Classic Margarita with a Jalapeño Pepper and sweet, tart and spicy-rimmed glass.
You haven’t lived till you’ve tried their Birria Tacos, with Braised Beef, Cilantro, stringy Monterey Jack and Red Onion, with Dipping Sauce. One of this best this City has to offer and cannot be missed. Such a delight!

Their Dat Chick Taco with Fried Chicken, Sweet Chili, Cucumbers, Pickled Carrots and Cilantro Crema, also outstanding!

To top it all off, our fave Booyah Ice Cream was there to serve us Ice Cream Tacos in a truck! Their After Eight Oreo is a huge hit for them, as is their Blueberry Cheesecake, Lavender Honey and Kookie Monster! They also will be at the Festival and this is a perfect opportunity for you to try them if you can’t get to their Vaughan Road location.
