Synopsis:

Jon M. Chu (“Now You See Me 2”) directed the contemporary romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians,” based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller by Kevin Kwan. The story follows New Yorker Rachel Chu (Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors.

#FIRSTLOOK: NEW TRAILER FOR “CRAZY RICH ASIANS”

Welcome to Asia, b*tches! We’ve waited so long for this! Jon M. Chu adapts the Best-Seller CRAZY RICH ASIANS from Kevin Kwan and this new Trailer looks positively juicy. We want everything to go wrong or else why the hell watch?

Synopsis:
Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor, realizes her current boyfriend, Nick (Henry Golding), is one of the most desired unmarried men in his home city of Singapore and probably the rest of Asia.

She discovers this, and that fact that her boyfriend comes from an insanely wealthy family, when she heads with Nick to the wedding of his best friend. She also learns that nearly every unattached woman in his class of society is after him and are ready to take out Rachel by any means necessary.

#SPOTTED: “CRAZY RICH ASIANS” STARS MICHELLE YEOH, HENRY GOLDING + HARRY SHUM JR. IN TORONTO

Starring in the eagerly-awaited upcoming adaptation of Kevin Kwan‘s bestselling Crazy Rich Asians, fellow Malaysians Michelle Yeoh and Henry Golding, plus Glee alumni Harry Shum Jr. coincidentally all are in Toronto right now working on their own respective projects. We spotted them having a mini crazy-rich reunion over sushi at hotspot Ja Bistro!

Yeoh, known best for her work in Academy Award-winning Films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Memoirs of a Geisha, in addition to a litany of blockbusters in Chinese-speaking Asia, continues filming STAR TREK: DISCOVERY in the City in which she stars as Captain Georgiou. The Series premieres on CBS September 24, 2017! In Jon M. Chu‘s much-hyped Crazy Rich Asians, she plays controlling matriarch Eleanor Young. Yes!

Golding, a fresh face in these parts, is set to make a big splash stateside starring as Nicholas Young in Crazy Rich Asians. He is filming currently Paul Feig‘s (The Heat, Bridesmaids) debut Thriller, A Simple Favor starring alongside Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.  The Film is based on the Darcey Bell Novel of the same name and about a mommy blogger who tries to figure out the disappearance of her friend Emily.

Shum, returns to Toronto where he films the third season of popular Series Shadowhunters (The Mortal Instruments) through next spring, reprising his role as Magnus Bane.

We were lucky enough to stop Yeoh and Golding for a quick chat after their dinner and they were amazing to stop for Selfies en route to their next stop on their Friday night in Entertainment District.

Craysians! Loved meeting #HenryGolding, star of the upcoming #CrazyRichAsians Movie. He was so cool, having a reunion with Co-Stars Michelle Yeoh and Harry Shum Jr. He stars alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in Paul Feig Thriller #ASimpleFavor, filming right now in Toronto.

Warner Bros. release CRAZY RICH ASIANS, release date to be announced…and we’re crazy excited!

#FIRSTLOOK: “CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: THE GREEN LEGEND” TO STREAM ON NETFLIX

We are thrilled to announce that Netflix will be streaming a Film we’re terribly excited about.  Our obsession in 2000 was CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, the multiple Oscar-winning Ang Lee Film.  And now Director Yuen Wo-Ping continues the legend with CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: THE GREEN LEGEND.

Reprising her role as Yu Shu-Lien is Michelle Yeoh (Memoirs of a Geisha).  Donnie Yen also returns as Silent Wolf.

Netflix will stream the Original Movie on Friday, August 28, 2015.  It will also screen in IMAX in select theatres.
