The 21-year-old singer recently wrapped up her Canadian headlining tour at the end of January before heading off to Australia to play a number of festival and headlining shows. On top of the upcoming tour she has upcoming festival appearances that include Austin’s Sips and Sounds, New York’s Governors Ball, and All Things Go Toronto that will see her share the stage with the likes of Lorde, Wet Leg and Del Water Gap. Last month LeMac released a stripped-down version of her acclaimed EP It’s Always At Night with acoustic versions of each track – listen to It’s Always At Night Acoustic. So delighted to check out an incredible set by rising star JADE LEMAC! The 21-year-old self-taught Singer/Songwriter from Vancouver packed the house at Toronto’s The Opera House last night, giving fans a major reason to brave the cold. She’s wrapping the Canadian leg of her IT’S ALWAYS AT NIGHT Tour, with some dates coming in Australia next. She’s also just been announced to play at this year’s ALL THINGS GO FESTIVAL in Toronto!
LeMac has built a devout community of fans over the past few years with her hits “Constellations” and “Running Home” garnering huge streams. With this project, Jade dives into themes of being in love and finding yourself through it all, opening herself to listeners and empowering herself through her vulnerability. Jade explains, “It’s Always At Night is a story about a person who’s in love with love. There are songs for so many emotions – heartbreak, desire, love, and lust. Each song is its own story about the different ways I’ve felt while being in love with someone. She continues on the theme of the EP saying “As soon as the sun goes down and it’s nighttime, I’m alone in my bedroom. I feel my emotions one hundred times harder, and the thoughts just flow into my head,” she says. “The title It’s Always At Night reflects the various emotions of each song that are more accentuated at night.” The EP features “Pink Balloon”, “Sleeping with The Lights On,” alongside the single “Running Home” that continues to grow, and is currently sitting at #16 on both the HOT AC and Top 40 radio in Canada.

Speaking about the new single, Jade says, “‘Sleeping with the Lights On’ is another one of my favorites. This one is definitely a vulnerable song, a heartbreak song. This also was the first song where I really discovered my sound when it comes to writing on guitar.”
