Shattering all-time records at the box office, the highly anticipated hit sequel from Blumhouse Productions, FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 arrives exclusively on digital* platforms to buy or rent December 23, 2025, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray™, and DVD on February 17, 2026, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Dive deeper into the world of Freddy Fazbear at home as the dark and mysterious thrill ride now comes jam-packed with revealing cast interviews, a jaw-dropping look behind the scenes at how fan-favorite animatronics like Mangle and Marionette came to life on screen, and an exploration of the Easter eggs dotting nearly every scene of the new movie.
Director Emma Tammi and writer and original franchise creator Scott Cawthon return, bringing the world a darker, more bone-chilling vision blending new characters and lore with longtime franchise favorites. The second installment of the remarkable horror phenomenon, FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 breaks the boundaries of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria for the first time as the nightmare enters the outside world. New animatronics shatter the line between the living and the mechanical and expand the horror while deepening the mystery.
One year after the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a shocking new chapter of terror begins when former security guard Mike’s sister, Abby, sneaks out in search of her animatronic friends: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. As terrifying events begin to unfold, dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s are revealed, unleashing a forgotten horror hidden away for decades.
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 is produced by Emmy-winning producer Jason Blum (The Black Phone, Get Out, M3GAN) and written by award-winning video game developer Scott Cawthon. The film stars returning cast members Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games franchise, The Beekeeper), Elizabeth Lail (“You,” Countdown), Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo franchise, The Descendants), and Piper Rubio. The film will also feature new characters played by McKenna Grace (“The Handmaid’s Tale,” I, Tonya), Skeet Ulrich (Scream, The Craft), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park, Dirty Dancing), and Teo Briones (Final Destination: Bloodlines, Wind River), as well as brand-new animatronics voiced by Megan Fox (Transformers, Jennifer’s Body), Matthew “MatPat” Patrick, and Kellen Goff.
