#REVIEW: “HOCUS POCUS 2”
By Mr. Will Wong
Despite a less than enthusiastic reception upon its initial 1993 release, HOCUS POCUS found new life as Halloween Cult Classic in the years to follow. #REVIEW: “BLONDE”
Review By Mr. Will Wong
None can fault the phenomenal work by Ana de Armas in Andrew Dominik's adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates' Novel, BLONDE. However, clocking-in at 166 minutes, this fictionalized account of Marilyn Monroe's rise and demise, feels one-dimensional, even though it explores the polarity between her public persona and personal demons.
The story begins grim and keeps gets grimmer as we meet a young Norma Jean (Lily Fisher) who is raised by her abusive mother Gladys (Julianne ...

#REVIEW: âSEE HOW THEY RUNâ
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
It is the 1950s and Agatha Christieâs âThe Mousetrapâ has just celebrated its 100th show in Londonâs West End. The Show is a rousing success and there is talk of a film adaptation. Now it is up to Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and film-obsessed Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) to crack the ...

#REVIEW: “BARBARIAN”
Review by Justin Waldman for Mr. Will Wong
When we live in the world of 2022, few things are held sacred anymore and that goes to movies and spoilers especially. While it is not fair to solely blame society for this cruel reality we live in, its also fair to blame studios who love to show the final shots of a film, massive plot points, or even cameos in trailers. Thankfully, Zach Creggerâs Barbarian gives audiences just a taste of what they can expect and allows the true horrors to unfold ...

#REVIEW: DISNEY’S “PINOCCHIO”
Review by Mr. Will Wong
What a delight that on Disney+ Day, subscribers get treated to a new live-action adaptation of Disney's PINOCCHIO, directed by the incredible Robert Zemeckis? And while the Film might've deserved a theatrical run with a lack of family releases having hit the big screen this Summer, either way it will find a way into our hearts.
The recipe still contains the same magical ingredients in this classic tale. Pinocchio (Canada's own Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) is a wooden ...

#REVIEW: âBULLET TRAINâ
Review by David Baldwin for Mr. Will Wong
Ladybug (Brad Pitt) is an Assassin trying his hand at Pacifism after a few too many bad experiences. His job this time is simple enough â retrieve a briefcase from a bullet train and get off the train. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Seems like there are other assassins on the train, and they all have different objectives, agendas and connections to one another.
And of course, they all want to kill each other.
If that sounds like your idea of a good ...
