#REVIEW: “THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES”
Review by: Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
For those not in the know, The Mortal Instruments is no passing trend. In the last five years its literary counterpart has produced five novels, with a sixth promised for early 2014. Author Cassandra Clare, a life-long Peddler of Prose, began its introductory work almost ten years ago. Similar to other genre entries, her slice of youthful Fantasy is lead by a blossoming Damsel in Distress. But dangers be damned, as it didn’t take Clary long to ...

#REVIEW – “THE WORLD’S END”
Struggling with Alcoholism, Gary King (Simon Pegg) decides to unite with four of his childhood Friends to complete the illusive Golden Mile Pub Crawl in their Hometown of Newton Haven. Despite going to become successful in their own rights establishing lives in London, Gary is the odd one out, never having grown-up fully, fixated only on reaching the Crawl's final destination, the ironically-named The World's End Pub. Joining him are Oliver (Martin Freeman), Peter (Eddie Marsan), Steven (Paddy ...

#REVIEW: “KICK-ASS 2”
Overcome whatever obstacles beset you, because Kick Ass 2 is one Sequel you don't wanna miss. Like its Predecessor, it starts off with a couple of caps and a Comic Book caption. Blood, sweat and grime soak every frame and satiric syllable. Matthew Vaughn, the Director of the first Film, handed the reins to relative newcomer Jeff Wadlow for this Followup. And not only does he succeed greatly in helming it, he also wrote it.
For the Uninitiated, Kick-Ass is a new age “What If?” scenario ...

#REVIEW – “jOBS”
When we think of Steve Jobs, likely the first thing we recall is him being the revered Co-Founder and CEO of the Apple Inc. Empire - a beloved Visionary. David Fincher’s The Social Network in 2010 really raised the bar high in terms of Technology-related Biopics and it is undeniable there is a bit of an overlap thematically in this effort from Director Joshua Michael Stern. jOBS recalls the dramas, underhanded dealings, tantrums and politics behind his ascension as one of the most ...

#REVIEW: “WE’RE THE MILLERS”
Review by Jonathan Godfrey for Mr. Will Wong
For the past four years Warner Brothers has been hard at work resuscitating the R-rated Comedy. With the ebb and flow of politically correct rhetoric most studios have been hesitant to step on toes for laughter’s sake. Luckily they've been willing to play Trinculo, inspiring merriment while the tempest rages on. Their latest routine for a Restricted Audience is titled, We’re the Millers. From the Director of DodgeBall (Rawson Marshall Thurber), ...

#REVIEW – “BLUE JASMINE”
You rarely can go wrong with a Woody Allen Film. The iconic Writer/Filmmaker's uncanny ability to get inside the heads of his Characters is remarkable and latest Drama Blue Jasmine is no exception, essentially serving as an early Oscars Vehicle for the superb Cate Blanchett who really gives it her all here.
After a crisis forces her to build a new life, glamorous New York Socialite Jasmine (Blanchett) reunites with her Sister Ginger (Sally Hawkins) in San Francisco, disrputing the flow of her ...

#REVIEW: “SHARKNADO”
We all have our fears about what the future holds with the imminent dangers of Global Warming, hence the possibility of a Shark Attack combined with a Tornado is highly plausible. I mean, it happened in made-for-Television Disaster Flick, Sharknado, where we watch in horror as sharks fall from the sky, spurting out from all directions, attacking innocent people in a flooded Los Angeles. It could totally happen. Like, really. And it breaks my heart that this is a reality we could face ...

#REVIEW: “FRUITVALE STATION”
Easily one of my favourite Films thus far in 2013, the compelling Fruitvale Station finally gets a release after months of anticipation following widespread acclaim at both the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals. Reviewers at my Screening were so moved that a majority of them sat in the dark as the credits rolled, allowing for a moment to regain their composure.
The Drama written and directed by Ryan Coogler is based on the events surrounding the final day of Oscar Grant's (Michael B. Jordan) ...
