The magic of Walt Disney’s dream unfolds when “Disneyland Handcrafted,“a feature documentary from Leslie Iwerks, takes viewers on an unforgettable journey through the exhilarating year that gave rise to The Happiest Place on Earth. Built from rare archival footage and original audio recordings, the film begins streaming on Disney+ on January 22, 2026.

“Disneyland Handcrafted” reveals the extraordinary artistry and grit it took hundreds of craftspeople to bring Walt Disney’s impossible dream project of Disneyland to fruition – from groundbreaking to Opening Day on July 17, 1955.

The documentary captures both the legacy and nostalgia of the year leading up to the creation of the Disneyland Resort. Through newly unearthed materials from the Walt Disney Archives, Iwerks and her team uncovered long-forgotten 16mm film reels and audio recordings. The result is an unpolished, fly-on-the-wall perspective that captures what was truly happening behind the scenes, told through the firsthand accounts of the artists, craftsmen, and Imagineers who were there.

Since opening over 70 years ago, Disneyland has laid the groundwork for a massive global theme park industry that is currently in the biggest era of growth, making this film a truly special treat for Disney fans.

The film unleashes a blood-soaked, high-octane horror-action-comedy in which a young woman must survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult’s mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering in a uniquely brazen, big screen battle of epic kills and wickedly dark humour.

Today, Disney+ unveiled the official trailer for FX’s “The Beauty,” a new international thriller from executive producer Ryan Murphy. The series will premiere on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 on Hulu on Disney+ in Canada, launching with the first three episodes. New episodes of the 11-episode first season will debut weekly on Wednesdays, with two episodes releasing in each of the final two weeks.

Marvel Television has released an all-new trailer and stills for its upcoming series “Wonder Man.” The eight-episode series is created by Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”) and Andrew Guest (“Community,” “Hawkeye”) and stars Emmy Award winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams and Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley, who reprises his role as Trevor Slattery following appearances in “Iron Man 3,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” and “All Hail the King.”

The series follows aspiring Hollywood actor, Simon Williams, who is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns that legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man.” These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.

All eight episodes will stream exclusively on Disney+ at 6pm PT / 9pm ET January 27. Additionally, the “Wonder Man” soundtrack, featuring an original score by composer Joel P West, will be available on Hollywood Records across all digital platforms January 30, 2026.
