Terroir Symposium returns to Alberta May 27–31, 2026, for its 20th anniversary, marking two decades as Canada’s most influential gathering of chefs, creators, producers, and food-world thinkers. This milestone edition invites the industry and its community to come together under the theme The Joy of Food — a celebration of the flavours, traditions, and voices that have shaped how we cook, eat, and connect.
For the first time, the 2026 program expands across two cities, beginning with workshops and dining events in Edmonton (May 27–29) before continuing in Calgary (May 28–31) with signature dinners, a VIP opening reception, and the main Symposium Day at the Calgary Central Library.
For 20 years, Terroir Symposium has been where ideas launch, collaborations spark, and lasting relationships are built. If you want to be part of the conversations defining the future of hospitality, this is the room to be in. Tickets available HERE.
Since its inaugural gathering in 2006, Terroir has been the launchpad for culinary visionaries and cultural storytellers. Past participants include Fergus Henderson, Daniel Boulud, Albert Adrià, and David Chang, alongside Canada’s own Matty Matheson and many other luminaries who have come together to exchange ideas, experiment with flavours, and share the stories behind their craft.
“These gatherings spark collaborations and influence Canada’s food and hospitality scene for years afterward,” says Arlene Stein, founder of Terroir Hospitality.
“Terroir Symposium convenes the people who move the industry forward — global icons you recognize instantly, and the quiet leaders whose influence is deep, decisive, and impossible to ignore. We don’t just spotlight fame — we celebrate visionaries and the creative leaders whose work is reshaping the industry from the ground up.”

The Oldest Person in the World from Academy Award-nominated director Sam Green (The Weather Underground), which chronicles the ever-changing Guinness World Record holder, will receive its Canadian premiere, as will Time and Water from Academy Award nominee Sara Dosa (Fire of Love), in which Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason—facing the loss of both his country’s glaciers and his beloved grandparents—turns his archives into a time capsule to hold what is slipping away. Also receiving its Canadian premiere is Biljana Tutorov and Petar Glomazić’s To Hold A Mountain, winner of Sundance’s World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary and Hot Docs Forum alum, in which a mother and daughter strive to save their quiet Montenegro ancestral home from becoming a NATO military training facility. The Ballad of Judas Priest from directors Sam Dunn (Hip-Hop Evolution, Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story) and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine follows the half-century journey of the heavy metal pioneers and will receive its Canadian premiere.

With just weeks to go until the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album Whatever’s Clever!, internationally acclaimed Charlie Puth releases his latest single “Home” Ft. Hikaru Utada, with an official music video directed by Hunter Moreno, both out today via Atlantic Records.
Watch HERE:
“Home was written for my best friend, wife and soon to be mother of our first child. Brooke has changed my life for the better and given me a whole new perspective on why and where I belong in this world. Everything makes sense with her” Puth continues “and to have the honor of one of my favorite artists, Hikaru Utada featuring on this song with me, is a true gift. She gives the song a depth and beauty that I’m so grateful for. She is incredible! I hope you all enjoy is as much as I did making it.”
Hikaru Utada shares, “as a fellow songwriter and music listener, it was obvious to me when I first heard the demo of “Home” that this is a deeply personal song for Charlie that comes straight from his heart. It was a joy to collaborate with such a gifted musician who wears his love of music on his sleeve… and a very fun challenge to contribute Japanese lyrics to an English song, from creating rhyme in languages that have such different phonetics, to being surprised by Charlie’s beautiful Japanese chorus work. I hope everyone enjoys this bilingual song and its universal message.”
“Home” Ft. Hikaru Utada arrives amidst a busy year for Charlie Puth, who embarks on his WHATEVER’S CLEVER! World Tour, starting in San Diego’s Viejas Arena on April 22. Followed by a European tour in June and July. Last month, the award-winning artist performed a soulful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to open the Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Backed by an orchestra and Kenny G, playing his signature Rhodes piano, his stellar performance garnered praise from around the world, as millions tuned in.
More exciting news to come.

The RC Show is back and at a new venue this year, Mississauga’s The International Centre (6900 Airport Rd, Mississauga, ON). from March 8-10, 2026! We had an incredible time taking in all the innovation to be experienced at Canada’s largest food and hospitality industry event.
In fact, 25,000 people are expected at the RC Show this year, with the affair split across five sections of the Centre. There are plenty of opportunities to network, enjoy aisle upon aisle of food and drink samplings, watch guest panels and live cooking competitions, and nab yourself some free swag and enter giveaways! Nobody leaves the RC Show hungry or thirty. It just doesn’t happen.
This was our second time attending, and more than ever, the RC Show felt alive and buzzing with energy. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the day and felt there was still so much more to see and experience!
As the show coincides with International Women’s Day this year, a central theme was celebrating the accomplishments of women in the industry. YES SHEF takes place March 9, 2026, a tasting event with booths led by over 20+ women. Not only is it important to observe women, it needs to be enjoyed and taken in!
We break down our 12 must-see things to see and try at this year’s RC Show, and trust me, it’s a fun one!
There’s still time to check it all out. Tickets at rcshow.com.

Warner Music Canada is proud to announce that global icon and 16x GRAMMY® winner Bruno Mars has officially secured the #1 spot on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart with his long-awaited fourth solo album, The Romantic.
The success of The Romantic extends a historic start to 2026 for Warner Music Canada. Mars’ debut marks the latest in a consecutive string of #1 albums for the label, following chart-topping releases from Zach Bryan, Don Toliver, and Hilary Duff.
The album’s arrival was celebrated in Canada with several high-profile fan activations. In downtown Toronto, hundreds of fans were surprised with fresh roses from Bruno to mark the release. Additionally, a dedicated “love lock” wall was established at Toronto’s STACKT market, allowing fans to leave their own romantic mark in honor of the project.
Beyond the album’s sales success, Mars continues to be a juggernaut at Canadian radio. He has maintained the #1 position across the Top 40, Hot AC, and AC formats for four consecutive weeks with his smash hit single, “I Just Might,” which has just been certified Platinum in Canada.
The demand for Mars’ return to the stage has been massive. The Romantic Tour will see Mars perform a record-setting five nights at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the highest number of shows for any artist at the venue. What’s more, to accommodate overwhelming interest from fans in Western Canada, a fifth Vancouver date has recently been added at BC Place for October 21. With the additional dates added, the tour will now span nearly 80 dates across North America, Europe, and the UK, cementing its status as one of the biggest global outings of the year.
The Romantic also features the official music video for “Risk It All,” directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos, and follows a record-breaking year for the superstar. In 2025, Mars became the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 150 million monthly listeners and currently holds the record for the highest-certified song in RIAA history with “Just the Way You Are” at 21x Platinum.
The Romantic is available everywhere now via Atlantic Records.
