#BOXOFFICE: “AVATAR: FIRE & ASH” HANGS-ON A FIFTH WEEK AT #1

AVATAR: FIRE & ASH hangs-on a fifth week atop the Box Office with $14.4 million from 3,300 theatres for 20th Century Studios. Over five weekends, it has grossed $367 million domestically.

Debuting in second is 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE with $13.2 million from 3,506 theatres for Sony Pictures. Biggest franchise opening still belongs to 2015’s 28 YEARS LATER with $30 million. This installment gets a fantastic 94% on the Tomatometer. Review here.

Third goes to ZOOTOPIA 2 with $9.5 million, a total $393 million earned to date in North America for Disney.

In fourth is THE HOUSEMAID with $8.7 million, a tally of $109 million over five weekends for Lionsgate/Cineplex Pictures.

MARTY SUPREME rounds things out with $5.7 million for A24/Elevation Pictures, a stellar total $81 million for this indie flick.
