Guys, this experience was incredible! Sister restaurants Lobster Burger Bar and ATO Restaurant (Richmond Hill) are known to team-up occasionally for these amazing Live Tuna Cutting Shows and I was so blessed to attend this special experience at the former.
Center stage was a $9,000, 200 lb, Mexican Bluefin Tuna, carved by Chef Mark (seen above), who boasts 20+ years of experience, as a crowd formed around him eager to get a first taste! Make no mistake though, this experience isn’t only about Tuna. It is an open bar night, complete with entertainment (aerial performers), serving a luxurious array of side dishes including: Sashimi (with a dusting of goldflakes), Mini Don (Rice Cups with Maguro and Caviar or Uni), Octopus, Maki Rolls, Tempura, Snow Crab with Ponzu Sauce, and so much more. Desserts also are as extravagant including the feature, Japanese Crown Melon, which often retail for about $100 each. Let’s not forget their delicious iced Warabi Mochi (covered in brown sugar syrup and soybean powder).
Here’s a peek what to expect:
It was a full house and amazing to see that Toronto’s discerning palates appreciate a great, elevated experience.
