We really enjoyed Season One so we’re looking forward to the second season of FIREFLY LANE! Here’s a look at the new Trailer for it!
Synopsis:
What could possibly have ended the tight-knit thirty year friendship of Tully and Kate, our “Firefly Lane Girls Forever?” We’ll learn the answer this season — but first — Kate grapples with the painful aftermath of Johnny’s ill-fated trip to Iraq, while Tully faces a lawsuit after walking away from her talk show, and must start her career over from the bottom. This leads her to search for answers about who she is and where she comes from — including a quest to find the father she never met, against the wishes of her secretive hippie mother, Cloud. In the ’80s, we see Kate and Johnny first fall in love, creating more than a little drama in the newsroom where they work, as Tully’s career rises and she spars (and flirts!) with cocky sportscaster Danny Diaz. She just might have met her match — that is, if they can stop arguing for five minutes. While in the ’70s, teenage Kate and Tully struggle to keep their friendship together as Cloud goes to jail for dealing drugs and Tully goes to live with her grandmother, far away from Firefly Lane. As the girls face the tumult of high school apart, they know the one thing they really need is each other.
Netflix release the second season of FIREFLY LANE April 27, 2023.

I have vague memories of the bloody siege that infiltrated the airwaves 30 years ago in Waco, Texas but WACO: AMERICAN APOCALYPSE is the definitive chronicling of this national tragedy. From the same Director who brought us terrifying Docu-Series NIGHT STALKER, Tiller Russell, we get first-hand accounts of those in the trenches, including survivors and those who knew fallen Cult Leader David Koresh. Russell also unearths footage filmed within FBI‘s Hostage Negotiation Command Post and raw news footage, all never seen before. This all comes in time to commemorate the 30th anniversary of this event.
The original intent of the FBI was for officials to infiltrate the Branch Davidians’ compound, arrest and have him surrender the illegal firearms they were hoarding, WACO: AMERICAN APOCALYPSE gives us an insider’s view of the series of events that led to what would be a 51 day standoff resulting in 86 deaths, including the children who were surrendered. We also get a clearer portait of Koresh‘s relationships with the women and yes, sometimes children within the compound, plus the abuse they were subject to, convincing his followers that he was the second coming of Christ. Most heartbreaking is Heather Jones’ recounting of her life in the compound being amidst the blooshed during the standoff.
The Series tries to piece together a portrait of a man who would gain power of people who would surrender their lives to him in the name of being closer to God. We see some deeply distubring and chilling impacts from all of this and we learn that there were lessons to be learned by the FBI which had a responsibility to save every life, but failed in this regard. WACO: AMERICAN APOCALYPSE is compelling watch at three highly-watchable episodes.
WACO: AMERICAN APOCALYPSE streams now on Netflix.

Is that Cranberry Sauce or blood? Those of us who loved 2007’s GRINDHOUSE will have very fond memories of this mock Horror Trailer from Eli Roth. THANKSGIVING, co-written together with Jeff Rendell and directed by Roth, is now in production in and around Greater Toronto. The Film is a Holiday Horror set during Thanksgiving, where a slasher visits a small Massachussetts town with intention to make a carvery out of the town and its inhabitants.
See below for the idea that started it all!
Production recently head to Hamilton and then to Port Perry where we were able to see filming take place along its charming downtown Queen Street district. Filming is headed next to Pickering as well. The Horror stars Patrick Dempsey, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon, Milo Manheim and TikTok sensation Addison Rae.
Rae drew huge crowds of teens from a nearby high school to watch filming and loud cheers could be heard errupting as she came over to say “hi” to her young fans and stopping for Selfies. We bet Port Perry hasn’t ever gotten this lucky in a bit! Hell, it’s been a while since Toronto’s gotten anything this cool! Dempsey was spotted being friendly in-character as a deputy, outside a Canada Post location transformed into a police station.
Production wraps April on THANKSGIVING, and Sony Pictures is set to release. Wondering if its release might be timed around turkey season?! It
