Synopsis:

Synopsis:
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” reunites Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose and the droids for a joyous feast on Life Day, a holiday first introduced in the 1978 “Star Wars Holiday Special.” The new LEGO special is the first to debut on Disney+ and will continue the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and LEGO—playful adventures told in the endearingly irreverent way that only LEGO Star Wars cobranded content can.

Disney+ announced earlier today that a new Animated Series will be making its way to the streaming service in 2021 from the STAR WARS universe.
STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch – a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.

Debuting on the day that a worldwide community of fans celebrate all-things-Star Wars — Monday, May 4 — “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” is an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on “The Mandalorian.” Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Jon Favreau.
“’Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1,” said Favreau. “We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”
Topics this season include the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas’ Star Wars, how the cast brought the characters to life, the series’ groundbreaking technology, the artistry behind the show’s practical models, effects, and creatures, plus the creative influences, the iconic score, and connections to Star Wars characters and props from across the galaxy.
“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” will premiere three days after “The Mandalorian” will wrap its first season in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. New episodes of “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” will stream every Friday on Disney+.

Hot off its Golden Globe wins this past weekend, 1917 expands to 3,434 theatres this weekend for Universal Pictures, taking top spot at the Box Office with $34 million. The Sam Mendes war flick gets 89% on the Tomatometer and also an A- CinemaScore. Looks like momentum is peaking right in-time for Monday’s Oscar nominations.
STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER still is going strong in second with $17.3 million for Disney, a tally of $477 million domestically in its run so far.
Third spot goes to JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL which still continues to perform for Sony Pictures with $13 million, a total $255 million gross over five weeks.
LIKE A BOSS debuts in fourth spot with $12 million in 3,078 theatres for Paramount Pictures. The Comedy sees 21% on the Tomatometer and a B CinemaScore.
JUST MERCY opens in sixth with $10.5 million from 3,275 theatres for Warner Bros. It gets 82% on the Tomatometer and an exceptional A+ CinemaScore.
UNDERWATER debuts in ninth with $6 million from 2,791 theatres for 20th Century Fox/Disney.
SPIES IN DISGUISE rounds-out the Top Ten with $5.2 million for 20th Century Fox/Disney.
For a third straight week it’s all about STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER with a take of $37 million from 4,406 theatres for Disney. This brings its run in North America to $454 million.
In second is JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL with $24.5 million from 4,134 theatres for Sony Pictures.
Third goes to THE GRUDGE with $13 million from 2,642 theatres also for Sony Pictures. The Reboot gets an F CinemaScore and 19% on the Tomatometer. Franchise best still goes to 2004’s original with $39.1 million and a #1 debut.
Fourth is LITTLE WOMEN with $12 million, a healthy $58 million over two weeks domestically for Sony Pictures.
UNCUT GEMS gets eighth spot with $5.8 million from 2,686 theatres for A24/Netflix.
CATS is at the bottom of the Top Ten with $2.5 million for Universal Pictures in its second week out.
STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER makes it two weeks on-top, taking $89.6 million at the Box Office week two this post-Christmas Holiday weekend, from 4,406 theatres. Thus far, it has grossed $380.9 million domestically for Disney.
JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL is second with $30.8 million from 4,227 theatres for Sony Pictures. It has grossed $176 million in its third week.
FROZEN 2 takes third with $18.5 million, a total $423 million in its sixth weekend for Disney.
LITTLE WOMEN debuts in fourth with $18 million for Sony Pictures, from 3,308 theatres. Greta Gerwig‘s Adaptation gets 95% on the Tomatometer.
SPIES IN DISGUISE opens in fifth with $13.1 million from 3,502 theatres for 20th Century Fox. It gets 73% on the Tomatometer and an A- CinemaScore.
UNCUT GEMS lands in sixth with $10.9 million for A24/Netflix, expanding to 2,341 theatres. It gets 93% on the Tomatometer and oddly, a disproportionate C+ CinemaScore.
CATS in its second week out gets $5.1 million from 3,380 theatres for Universal Pictures.
RICHARD JEWELL rounds-out the Top Ten with $2.9 million for Warner Bros., a total $16 million in three weeks.
